From Monday, June 17, a section of the D4 motorway, which is being built as a PPP project, will be opened to traffic. Public traffic will commence on the Skalka – Těchařovice section. Traffic will be two-way. On December 17, 2024, in the afternoon, the PPP D4 motorway and the connecting I/20 road in the direction of Písek will be fully opened. In this context, the concessionaire provides information on the form of tolls for passenger and freight transport on the sections it operates. Tolling on sections of the PPP project is regulated by law. Specifically, this is Decree 480/2020 Coll., on the use of roads subject to time-based tolls, as amended by Decree No. 353/2024 Coll. This decree stipulates that the use of all sections of the D4 PPP by passenger vehicles up to 3.5 tons will be subject to a time-based toll from January 1, 2025. Until the end of 2024, drivers can use the D4 PPP motorway free of charge, with the exception of the Skalka (km 41) – Háje (km 45), which has been subject to tolls for a long time. From the Nová Hospoda intersection in the direction of Písek (and vice versa), the PPP project involves road I/20, which will not be subject to a time-based toll even after the end of 2024. With regard to performance-based charging (tolls), the scope of charging is regulated by Decree No. 470/2012 Coll., on the use of toll roads, as amended by Decree No. 354/2024 Coll. This decree stipulates that the use of all sections of the D4 PPP, including section I/20 from Nová Hospoda to Písek (and vice versa), by road motor vehicles over 3.5 tons will be subject to tolls from January 1, 2025. From December 17, 2024, to December 31, 2024
